KX503

KX503

CITUS KALIX has been manufacturing machines since 1928 and has installed more than 10,100 machine all over the world.
A worthy addition to the Kalix line, the KX503 is a cost-effective answers to production needs.

Upgrade potential: KX503 production capacity can be increased from 50tubes/min to 60 tubes/min with modular equipment installation.

Sturdy and reliable: 100% mechanical drive system and very straightforward electrical wiring for fast and simple maintenance.

Dosing precision: The shut-off valve filling nozzle provides high-precission dosing
(+/- 0.5%) for a very wide range of liquid to high viscosity products.

The KX503 also provides optional system for sealing weld and m.rounded corner trim.

Clear, Precise, User-Friendly instruction manual issued with the machine.

Ideal respone

needs

KALIX machines have been providing rugged and reliable industrial service since 1928, with a total over 100 million production hours to date. The KX603 is a cost-effective addition to a long line of high-reliability machines meeting major industrial objectives.

High dosing precision
The plunge-nozzle filler unit (with or without product shut-off valve) ensure high-precision dosing (± 0.5%) for products of any viscosity.

Bottom filling, for product of any viscosity
The KX603 uses an adjustable-stroke (up to 170mm) bottom filling system for trouble-free filing of even the most viscous product.

Reliable performance
For simplified maintenance and reliable performance, the KX603 features straightforward design, uncompromising quality in mechanical and electrical subsystems, and minimum number of wear parts.

Advanced tube seal and fold systems
Using advanced KALIX technology, the KX603 produces exeptional tube finish up to an effective output of 60 tubes per minute, with interchangeable seal/fold heads for any type of material (plastic, laminate, alumunium).

Compliance with CGMP standards
With its compact design and stainless-steel finish (no paintwork), the KX603 is ideal for use in controlled-environment production conditions (cleanrooms and laminar-flow sterile areas).

Good return on investment
The KX603 offer an excellent return on investment, thanks to straightforward design, high dosing precision, easy operartion, simplified maintenance, low volume production costs and short delivery leadtimes.

TUBE FEED AND LOAD SUBSYSTEMS
The KX603 is a single-operator machine with an automatic tube-loading system that features a ramp and tipper vee. It can be fitted an optional tube-feeder taking one, two or three whole boxes of empty tubes.

TUBE PRINT ORIENTATION SUBSYSTEM
Tube are oriented for printing by means of a spot detection system controlling a precision stepping motor located under the worktable in compliance with CGMP standarts. The angular position is adjustable from the control panel.

FILLING SUBSYSTEM
The whole filling subsystem (two-way valve, volumetric pump, and filling nozzle with shut off valve) slides out sideways in a single, tool-free operation, which means a whole pre-strerolized filling unit can be fitted with no risk of contamination to parts in contact with the product, for CGMP compliance.

For volumes up to 400 ml, the filling subsystem weighs under 10 kg.

The KX603 achieves perfectly clean product cut-off through progressive bottom-up filling via a height adjustable nozzle with shut-off valve.

CLOSURE HEADS

Plastic Tubes:
The closure heads for plastic tubes use a fast-change hot-air nozzle with adjustable air atemperatur (the only parameter that needs setting). This technology brings exemplary ease of use and impeccable product finish, with any kind of seal (see drawings). High-frequency induction and ultrasound sealing heads are available on option.

Metal Tubes:
Fully-mechanical meta tube heads perform a range of fold types (see drawings) with positive-action jaw motion throughout.

TECHNICAL SPESIFICATIONS :

1. Speed guide for similiar viscosities in tubes per minute. These are to be validated, depending on the products (creams,lotions...) actually used

2.  Changeover time:
- Replacement o filling assembly, by a second assembly and a changing of coding plates - about 2 minutes
- Tube size changeover : about 10 minutres depending on the number of adjustment.

3. Technical Details:
- Guards in stainless steel and security glass
- Speed adjustable via control panel and inverter
- Open design (there is no shaft above the center of the rotary table)
- Machine entirely mechanically driven
- Only a few wear parts
- Adjustable volumetric dosing
- Bottom up fill mechanically driven
